HiCellTek for Field Technicians
Replace heavy test equipment with a professional Android diagnostic app. Drive test, indoor walk test, Band Lock and instant CSV export, all on a smartphone you already carry.
Your Challenges
Field technicians need reliable diagnostics that fit in a pocket and produce sign-off ready evidence.
Carrying expensive, heavy test equipment
Traditional field kits (TEMS Investigation, Nemo Outdoor) require dedicated hardware, specialist laptops and calibrated probes. Transporting, maintaining and insuring this equipment adds significant cost and logistics overhead.
Quick site verification after installation
After commissioning a new cell, technicians need to verify RF coverage, PCI, EARFCN, RSRP levels and basic L3 connectivity on the spot, without waiting for post-processing back at the office.
SSV/CV acceptance testing under time pressure
Site Survey Verification and Conformity Verification sign-off requires documented evidence of KPIs against agreed thresholds. Time pressure on site makes streamlined data capture and instant export essential.
Limited budget for hardware licenses
Per-device hardware dongle licenses for traditional tools lock the budget to a fixed number of engineers. Floating cloud licenses and smartphone-based tools lower the per-engineer cost substantially.
How HiCellTek Helps
Everything a field technician needs, delivered on a standard Android smartphone.
All diagnostics on a standard Android phone
HiCellTek runs on a rooted Qualcomm Android smartphone. RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, PCI, EARFCN, RRC state and NAS events are available in real time, the same signal-layer data as dedicated hardware, without the dedicated hardware.
Band Lock + PCI Lock for targeted testing
Force the device onto a specific LTE/NR band, EARFCN/ARFCN or Physical Cell ID to isolate a single sector during commissioning or troubleshooting. Essential for verifying antenna configuration and inter-sector handover boundaries.
Walk test with floor plan import for indoor coverage
Import a building floor plan, mark measurement points as you walk and collect RSRP, RSRQ and SINR at each position. The resulting heatmap documents indoor coverage for DAS commissioning, SSV/CV indoor acceptance and dead-zone reports.
Drive test with GPS mapping for outdoor coverage
Outdoor coverage verification uses GPS-tagged KPI traces overlaid on a map. Collect continuous RSRP, SINR and handover events along the drive route and export the trace for operator sign-off.
Instant CSV export for site acceptance reports
Tap export at the end of a session and get a structured CSV with all KPIs, timestamps and GPS coordinates. Attach it directly to your SSV/CV acceptance form, no post-processing step required.

Can HiCellTek replace TEMS Investigation or Nemo Outdoor for site acceptance?
HiCellTek covers the main field technician workflows: RF monitoring (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, PCI, EARFCN), drive test with GPS trace, indoor walk test with floor plan and CSV export for acceptance reports. It runs on a standard Qualcomm Android phone and does not require dedicated measurement hardware.
What is Band Lock and why is it useful on site?
Band Lock forces the Android device to camp exclusively on a specified LTE or NR band (or EARFCN/ARFCN). This lets a field technician verify a newly installed sector in isolation, confirm the correct frequencies are broadcast and check handover boundaries without interference from adjacent sectors.
How do I produce a site acceptance report with HiCellTek?
Run a drive test or walk test session, then use the CSV export function. The exported file contains timestamped KPIs (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, PCI, EARFCN, GPS coordinates) that can be attached to your SSV/CV acceptance form or imported into a spreadsheet for threshold comparison.
Which Android phones are compatible?
HiCellTek requires a rooted Android device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset that supports the DIAG interface. Samsung Galaxy S and A series and select Xiaomi models are commonly used in the field. A list of validated devices is available on the product page.
