Which smartphones are compatible with HiCellTek?
HiCellTek works on Android smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets supporting the DIAG protocol. Most Samsung Galaxy S/A, OnePlus, and Google Pixel devices are compatible. Android 7.0+ required, ARM64 architecture.
Is root access required to use HiCellTek?
Yes, root access (Magisk recommended) is required to enable the Qualcomm DIAG diagnostic port and access raw Layer 3 data (RRC, NAS, IMS). This direct chipset connection is what enables real-time signaling data capture.
What radio KPIs does HiCellTek measure?
HiCellTek measures in real time: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, RSSI (serving + neighbor cells), MIMO 2G/3G/4G/5G, per-carrier throughput, MCS modulation, Resource Blocks, BLER, PDCP/RLC/PHY, per-beam SSB RSRP in 5G NR, PCI, EARFCN, NR-ARFCN, and all L1/L2 metrics.
How does HiCellTek measure VoLTE voice quality?
HiCellTek uses the Google ViSQOL (Virtual Speech Quality Objective Listener) algorithm to automatically compute voice MOS scores on VoLTE calls. The MOS score is correlated in real time with radio KPIs and IMS/SIP signaling. Compatible with AMR-NB, AMR-WB (HD Voice), and EVS codecs.
What export formats are available?
HiCellTek exports to: QMDL (Qualcomm QCAT-compatible), HLOG (proprietary encrypted format using chiffrement authentifié), Excel/CSV, PCAP, and text files. The HiCellTek desktop application enables replay, multi-KPI dashboards, and map-based visualization.
Does HiCellTek support indoor walk testing?
Yes. HiCellTek includes an indoor walk test module with floor plan import, manual or automatic positioning, and geolocated KPI collection on the floor plan. Ideal for SSV/CV acceptance testing, DAS audits, and indoor coverage diagnostics.
Can Layer 3 messages be decoded in real time?
Yes. HiCellTek decodes RRC (LTE and 5G NR), NAS (MME/AMF), and IMS (SIP/SDP) messages in real time directly on the smartphone. ASN.1 decoding is performed by our native libraries (libasn1c_lte_rrc.so / libasn1c_nr_rrc.so). Filters, search, and export included.
How does HiCellTek licensing work?
HiCellTek uses a SaaS model with floating licensing. 3 packs available: Field (field diagnostics), Expert (Layer 3 + QoE), Enterprise (multi-device + cloud). 3, 7, or 14-day trials available. Each license is bound to a device (RSA-2048).
Does HiCellTek support 5G NR?
Yes. HiCellTek supports 5G NR in both NSA (EN-DC) and SA modes. 5G NR KPIs: per-beam SSB RSRP, NR-ARFCN, NR PCI, NR band, RRC NR decoding (ASN.1), UE Capabilities MRDC, CA Combos NR, multi-beam measurements with RSRP₀/RSRP₁ delta.
