QoS ENGINEER VoLTE / VoNR MOS IMS

HiCellTek for QoS Engineers

Measure, analyze, and optimize voice & data quality across your mobile network. Real-time MOS scoring, RF + L3 + QoE correlation and VoLTE/VoNR call flow analysis, all on a standard Android smartphone.

Your Challenges

QoS engineering demands measurement tools that keep pace with live network conditions.

🎤

Measuring MOS in real field conditions

Standard subjective MOS assessments do not capture live network variability. Producing objective, repeatable voice quality scores requires instruments that work on the actual network under test.

📊

Correlating QoE metrics with RF parameters

MOS scores drop, but why? Isolating the root cause, degraded RSRP, SINR instability, codec negotiation failure, RTP jitter, means keeping RF KPIs and QoE measurements in the same timeline.

📄

Generating compliance reports for regulators

QoS obligations under 3GPP TS 23.203 and national regulatory frameworks require auditable, reproducible measurement data. Manual data compilation from multiple tools is time-consuming and error-prone.

📞

Validating VoLTE/VoNR quality end-to-end

VoLTE and VoNR calls traverse IMS signaling, QCI 1 bearers and radio scheduling. Verifying quality end-to-end means inspecting IMS SIP/SDP exchanges, RTP streams and radio conditions simultaneously.

How HiCellTek Helps

Purpose-built capabilities for objective, field-grade QoS measurement.

Real-time MOS scoring (ViSQOL ML, ITU-T P.1204.3)

HiCellTek computes voice MOS using Google ViSQOL (a machine-learning perceptual model) and video MOS per ITU-T P.1204.3 during live calls. Scores are timestamped and geo-tagged, enabling reproducible QoE audits.

RF + L3 + QoE correlation in one app

A single timeline links RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, RRC state, NAS events and MOS scores. When quality drops, the correlated L3 trace shows whether the cause is a radio degradation, a bearer modification or an IMS error.

CSV/QMDL export for automated reporting

All measurements export to CSV for direct import into BI tools or regulatory reporting templates. QMDL files preserve the raw Qualcomm diagnostic stream for post-processing in Actix or TEMS Discovery.

VoLTE/VoNR call flow analysis with IMS signaling

HiCellTek decodes SIP INVITE, 183 Session Progress, 200 OK, BYE and related IMS messages in real time alongside QCI 1 bearer events. VoNR on 5G NR SA networks is supported, including 5QI 1 bearer setup and release.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which MOS algorithm does HiCellTek use for voice quality scoring?

HiCellTek uses Google ViSQOL (Virtual Speech Quality Objective Listener), a machine-learning perceptual model, for real-time voice MOS. For video quality, it implements ITU-T P.1204.3. Both scores are calculated on-device during the active call without requiring a reference signal.

Can I export QoE data for regulatory compliance reports?

Yes. HiCellTek exports all QoE and RF measurements to CSV with timestamps and GPS coordinates. QMDL export preserves the complete Qualcomm diagnostic stream. These formats are accepted by standard post-processing tools used for 3GPP QoS compliance audits.

Does HiCellTek support VoNR quality measurement on 5G SA networks?

Yes. HiCellTek supports VoNR on 5G NR Standalone networks. It decodes 5QI 1 bearer setup and release, IMS SIP signaling over NR and RTP stream quality metrics including jitter and packet loss during VoNR calls.
