Simultaneous dual-SIM collection One device, two operators, zero bias
HiCellTek captures network data from both SIMs simultaneously on a single smartphone. Every KPI, every Layer 3 message, every RF measurement is automatically tagged per SIM for side-by-side operator comparison under strictly identical conditions.
How it works
The Qualcomm Snapdragon modem exposes two independent DIAG interfaces, one per SIM. HiCellTek captures both in parallel with synchronous timestamping.
Parallel capture
Both DIAG streams are captured simultaneously. Each log packet is tagged with simIndex (0 or 1) upon reception.
Unified decoding
ASN.1 LTE/NR decoders process both streams in real time. RRC, NAS messages, and RF measurements are decoded and correlated per SIM.
Side-by-side comparison
The interface displays both operators in parallel: KPIs, GPS map, L3 messages, and MOS scores synchronized.
Use cases
Operator benchmark
Compare two operators simultaneously on the same route, same radio conditions, same instant. Eliminate measurement bias from different conditions between two separate campaigns.
Roaming validation
Test visited network quality vs home network side by side. Identify handover degradation, latency, or voice MOS issues specific to roaming.
MVNO vs host operator
Measure the performance difference between an MVNO and its host operator: scheduling priority, throughput, latency. Quantified evidence for contract negotiations.
Regulator audit
Provide regulators with multi-operator comparative data collected under strictly identical conditions. One technician, one device, two operators.
Advantage vs traditional method
| Criteria | 2 phones (traditional) | 1 dual-SIM (HiCellTek) |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware required | 2 smartphones + 2 licenses | 1 dual-SIM smartphone |
| Synchronization | Manual or GPS (imperfect) | Native, same modem clock |
| Identical conditions | No (position, orientation, channel differ) | Yes (same position, same instant) |
| Field logistics | 2 devices to manage, charge, mount | 1 single device |
| Cost per campaign | Double (hardware + licenses) | Single (1 license, 1 device) |
| Unified export | 2 files to merge manually | 1 file with simIndex tag |
Data tagged per SIM
Every data point is automatically associated with its originating SIM (simIndex 0 or 1). No confusion between the two operators is possible.

FAQ. Dual-SIM Collection
How does simultaneous dual-SIM collection work?
HiCellTek accesses both Qualcomm modem DIAG interfaces simultaneously. Every RF measurement (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR), every Layer 3 message (RRC, NAS), and every MOS score is automatically tagged with a SIM index (simIndex 0 or 1). Data from both SIMs is synchronously timestamped for real-time side-by-side comparison.
Do competitors offer dual-SIM collection?
No. Traditional tools (TEMS, Nemo, Actix) require a separate physical device per operator. HiCellTek is the first solution to leverage the dual-SIM modem of Qualcomm smartphones to capture both operators simultaneously on a single device, halving the hardware, logistics, and benchmark time.
Which phones support dual-SIM collection?
Any Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-SIM smartphone with Android root (Magisk). Recommended chipsets are Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/2/3 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1/2 for optimal performance. The smartphone must support DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby) or DSDA (Dual SIM Dual Active) mode.
