How to check your phone's compatibility

1
Find your IMEI

Dial *#06# on your phone. The first 8 digits form the TAC (Type Allocation Code) that identifies your model.

2
Look up supported bands

Enter your IMEI or TAC in our TAC Lookup tool to get the list of frequency bands supported by your device.

3
Compare with du bands

Your device should support at minimum B3 + B20 for proper 4G coverage. For 5G, bands n77 or n78 are required.

Frequently asked questions, du

What 4G bands does du (EITC) use in the UAE?
du uses LTE bands B1 (2100 MHz), B3 (1800 MHz), B7 (2600 MHz), B20 (800 MHz) and B40 (2300 MHz TDD). B3 is the primary coverage band, while B7 and B40 provide capacity in dense urban areas like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Is my phone compatible with du 5G?
To use du 5G, your device must support bands n77 (3700 MHz) or n78 (3500 MHz). Dial *#06# to get your IMEI, then use our TAC Lookup tool to check which bands your phone model supports.
Will a European phone work on du?
Most European phones work well on du since bands B1, B3, B7 and B20 are commonly shared. Band B40 (2300 MHz TDD) is less common on European models but is not essential for basic coverage.
Does du offer VoLTE?
Yes, du has deployed VoLTE and VoWiFi in the UAE. These technologies enable HD-quality calls without falling back to 2G/3G, with reduced call setup times.
Need to analyze the network?

HiCellTek measures signal quality band by band (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR) directly from an Android smartphone.
